In the second stage of the "Copa Libertadores de America 2009," Chivas defeated Everton from Chile, with an amazing score of 6 to 2, and ended their loosing streak.
From the very beginning, the Mexican team was attacking with all their might. It was on the seventeenth minute that they scored their first goal when Amaury Ponce took advantage of a weak clear from Everton and shot the ball to the bottom corner of the opponent's goal.
In the 22nd minute Ramon Morales took a penalty and shot it wisely to the right of the goal as the goalie threw himself away from it. The third goal came when Medina recieved a clear lead from his team mate Jonny Magallon and chipped the ball over the Chilean goalie Dalsasso just as he went to get it.
In the 36th minute of the game, Morales crossed the ball to his teammate Marco Fabian Dela Mora who cleverly approached the goal from behind the opponent's defense and placed the ball inside the goal for the 4-0 of the game.
In the fourth minute of the second half, Carlos Gutierrez scored the first goal for the Chilean team, and it seemed as if they were getting ready to even out the game. Three minutes later, Ezequiel Miralles scored the second goal of the Chilean team when he took a penalty kick.
However, the Mexican team came back in the last stages of the game when Javier Hernandez who substituted for Carlos Ochoa scored two more goals for Guadalajara in the 77th and 86th minutes of the game.
Chivas are now in first in group 5 of the "Copa Libertadores", Everton and Caracas each have 3 points for the second and third place, and Lanus finishes in last with no points.
